Overseeing school groups is a volume problem and a turnover problem
A state PTA has a thousand units. A school district has a booster club for every team at every school. Each one is run by volunteers who change every year, and each one owes you something.
Who has filed their 990? Who is the treasurer at Clover Hill this year? Somebody knows. It is in an email, a shared drive or a spreadsheet with a tab per district, and it was right in September.
A unit loses its tax exemption, or its insurance lapses, or its bylaws were never updated, and the first the state office hears of it is the phone call.

Tasks & Approvals
Required tasks are created on a schedule you set, assigned to the unit, council or district that owes them, and routed up for approval. Weekly reminders chase what is past due, so your office does not have to.
Documents
You define the document types. Each unit, council and district uploads what it owes, term by term. Everything is reviewable from the level above and searchable from the top, with a report of what is still missing.
Compliance Reports
A compliance report for every level: which documents are in, which tasks are past due, what the IRS and the state charity registry say about each organization. Filtered, sorted, exported to Excel.
Board Rosters
Positions are defined once, at the top. Every unit, council and district fills in its own board each year, copies it forward at turnover, and the whole state or district can be exported in one file.
Messaging
Send to board members by position and level, using recipient groups you save once. Attach files, schedule the send, and see who received, opened and bounced. Every recipient also gets an in-app inbox.
Directory & Search
A directory of every district, council and unit under you, with its status, its board and its documents. Search across the whole hierarchy, star the ones you visit most, export any tab to Excel.

What each edition includes
Connect was built for school groups, not adapted for them
Four levels: state, district, council, unit. Fiscal years that start in July. Units that are in a council and units that are not. Positions with term limits. Bylaws that come up for review every few years. The software already knows what those are.
Connect was built with California State PTA, for the questions its office actually gets asked. When something does not fit how your state or district works, tell us and we change it.
The same account signs in to FutureFund for fundraising and BeeKeeper for accounting. Memberships sold on FutureFund arrive in Connect on their own, and a budget approved in BeeKeeper is filed in Connect without being retyped.
