A unit calls: are we in council, and which one?
You type the first word of the unit's name into the directory search. Clover Hill PTA comes up with its council, its district and its status beside it. The question is answered before the caller finishes asking.

One page for the organization: its details, its board roster this term, its documents, its tasks and its compliance cards. Legal name, EIN, address, school and charter date, without a second system.

The unit is going to call back. One star and it sits in your sidebar under Favorites, next to the other four you visit every week.
The district asks which units are pending
Units tab, filter by status: pending. Sort by council. The three units that chartered this year are on one screen, with the council each one belongs to.
You need every treasurer in one district
Board Members tab, filter by district and by position. Every treasurer at every unit under that district, this term, with name and email, sortable by any column.
You check who filed insurance this term
Documents tab, filter by term and by document type. The certificates that are in are listed by organization; the Missing Document report covers the rest.
You export it to Excel

Eleven hundred organizations, and the list of them lives in five places
The state has one. Each district keeps its own. A council's is the most accurate and the least shared. None of them agree on which units still exist.
Somebody at the council knows. You email the council, the council emails the president, and the answer arrives Thursday. It was in a roster the whole time.
A unit was suspended in January. The spreadsheet still says active, so it still gets the mailings, the tasks and the dues expectations meant for a unit in good standing.
