Know which of your organizations is in good standing, without asking them
One report, from what every unit already keeps to the spreadsheet you hand the board
Each organization keeps its own records
A unit's board roster, its documents and its tasks live in Connect, kept by the unit. The Compliance report reads them. Nobody at your office re-enters anything.
Every Tuesday, the IRS data arrives
Connect imports the IRS exempt-organization data and marks each organization current, past due or at risk, with its last filing date.
Every week, the state charity registry
In California, the Attorney General's Registry of Charities and Fundraisers is imported too: each organization's status, Current or Delinquent, and the date it is as of.
A unit sees its own cards
On its dashboard: tax filing status and the next deadline, bylaws status and the next review date, and any board warnings. The treasurer sees the problem before you call.
The council opens the Compliance report
One row per unit. President, Secretary and Treasurer on file. Board Health. Annual financial report filed for last term. Bylaws current. Each column is also a percentage of units meeting it.
You filter down to the question
By term, district, council and unit status, and sort any column. The active units in Lakeshore District with no treasurer on file is one filter away.
Export it for the meeting
Every report exports to Excel. The large ones build in the background and email you a link when they are ready.
The other reports carry the rest of the year
Missing Document, Past Due Tasks, Bylaw Submission, Contact, Bounced Emails, Expired Team Invitations, and a Registry report that marks the organizations the registry has no record of.
Are they all compliant?
The board is in a spreadsheet, the filings in a drive, the IRS status on a government website, the bylaws in a binder. Someone has to open all four, for every unit.
A unit misses three years of 990s and loses its exemption. The first the state hears of it is when the unit calls, after the letter.
Someone built the compliance spreadsheet by hand. Boards changed, filings arrived, and by March nobody trusts it.
What is in the Compliance report, and where each column comes from
Nobody at your office types a status.

One row per unit, one column per requirement, a percentage for each column. At council, district and state.
Pick a document type and a term and see every organization that has not filed it.
Every late task by council, district or state. The same list the Monday email is built from.
Which units' bylaws have been submitted and which have been approved.
Officers by position for any council, district or the whole state, ready to export.
The roster addresses that bounced and the team invitations never accepted, so a dead address is not a silent gap.
And so much more
